See the Adriatic coast by water,
One real neat way of getting around to see the surrounding towns is by excursion boat.
For about twenty bucks, you can take 3-4 hour boat excursions to many places around the area. For instance: Take a tour boat to Rimini or Pesaro for the day for some serious shopping. There a tour bus picks you up and takes you into town for about an hour or so and then returns you back to your vessel in time for the 45 minute boatride home. And if you never get around to eating while your in town shopping, don't worry, you'll get fed grilled fish, bread and homemade wines on the way back. Other boats will take you to the Island of Fano. (island of beautiful women), or maybe you want to do something a little offbeat....like visit a mussel farm by boat! Anyway you look at it, the $20 - $25 dollar price for a 3+ hr cruise with food and vino, aint bad.
